The month of mobilization, which will be launched on 16 September 2006, will build up to a climax on a Global White Band Day on the 17 October 2006 – the International Day on the Eradication of Poverty. This will be the 4^th Global White Band Day where millions of people across the world will show their solidarity against poverty by wrapping buildings in white band and by wearing their white bands.

The white band is the symbol and expression of solidarity against poverty and it could be in the form of wrist band, arm band, head band etc. Anyone who wants to be part of this movement should wear one. Show your support by wearing your white band on that day! CUUNA will be supporting this event and so watch this space as we post information on our events.
