At 9:49pm on 26 October 2006 the House divided on the motion “This House believes that the United Nations is a dead loss.” At 10:15pm the Secretary announced the result in the bar: Ayes 33, Noes 361, Abstentions 15. The motion was defeated by 328 votes.
