The annual Geneva trip of CUUNA is back!

When: 15th – 16th March, 2010 (The Monday and Tuesday immediately after Lent Term)

Where: Geneva, UN headquarters

The delegation will be made up of 20-30 members, who will be guided and shown around the UN buildings and offices according to a two-day programme specifically tailored for CUUNA. We will visit their daily working environment, understand the offices’ roles based on their functions in relation to the UN charter, and have a chance to meet the UN officials in Geneva headquarters. An individual member may also decide to look more deeply into any particular office of interest, and learn first-hand from an officer about the internship and employment opportunities in the UN.

The preliminary schedule includes a general site visit to the UN buildings, and group visits to the WHO, UNICEF, UNECE, WTO, ICRC, UNDP and UNESCO. All meetings are arranged by CUUNA, so you only need to cover your own
accommodation (with a voluntary option to sign up for cheap group hostel with the delegation) and arrange your own travel (a recommended itinerary will be circulated to delegates in due course)

Places are limited on a first-come-first-served basis, so to reserve your place, please be sure to do the following ASAP:

1. You need to be a member of CUUNA.

2. Reply to yh280@cam.ac.uk to indicate your name, college, degree, subject and special interests about the UN, if any.

3. Send a deposit check of 50 pounds, payable to Cambridge University United Nations Association, ******BEFORE Sunday 15th November******, to Yinzi He, St Edmund’s College, CB3 0BN

Please note that email subscription without check submission before the deadline may not be considered; if places are filled before the deadline and your place cannot be guaranteed, your check will be returned to you within a week. On the trip, the deposit will be deducted from your total amount payable.

For any queries, please email the Vice President, Yang Xia, at yx208.
