On the 6th of March 2020, the Cambridge University United Nations Association held its very first 'Fizz and Foreign Affairs' event, welcoming both experienced committee members and new faces for an evening of interesting discussions fueled by plenty of sparkling fizz!
The debate, competently led by Jasmine Hull and Flora Thurston, was very vibrant and exciting, and we noticed with great satisfaction the high participation from almost everyone attending!
We hope to see everyone back at our next event!
The motions discussed on the evening were:
1. Is US foreign policy towards North Korea and China effective?
2. Is Crimea part of Russia?
3. Is XR (Extinction Rebellion) effective at achieving climate policy aims?
